Carolyn S. DeLong, 47, died Oct. 22, 2007, at her residence. She was born March 20, 1960, in Lima to Richard and Jeanette Hall Horn. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother and step-father, Jeanette (William) Dailey survive in Lima. On March 28, 1981, in Lima she married Jeff DeLong, who survives. Mrs. DeLong was co-owner of Muffler Brothers. She volunteered for the Band Boosters at Allen East. She loved to do crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a talented painter and drawer, and a wonderful homemaker. Survivors also include a son, Jeffrey A. DeLong, at home; two daughters, Amber (Joseph) Blosser, of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska., and Michelle DeLong, at home; two sisters, Cheryl (Dennis) Morris, of Bluffton, and Deborah (Jeff) Shelley, of Lima; two grandchildren, Brayden Blosser and Randall Joseph Richard Blosser; four stepbrothers, Michael (Dee) Dailey, Kevin (Deborah) Dailey, Daniel (Kim) Dailey and Darren (Jenni) Dailey, all of Lima; three nephews, Johnny Shelley, Jacob Shelley and Dustin Morris; two nieces, Sara Morris and Stephanie Morris; and her father- and mother-in-law, Gary and Rose Etta DeLong. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Russell Gumm will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
