Carolyn Fosse

YOUNG AGAIN, Carolyn Fosse, 89, lived and loved Lima - clear lakes, snowflakes, tennis, Chinese checkers, Purdue basketball, her husband and two children. Strong, capable, and sparkling - she left this world on June 1, 2023, at 5:41 p.m.

She treasured relatives, friends, beloved neighbors, and the underdog. She tutored math students, helped found Westside Swim and Racquet Club, won tennis trophies, and ribbons on her photographs. She loved to fish with her husband Al and give book reviews for The Lotus Club. She had a quick smile for everyone.

Carolyn was born on April 13, 1934, in Lima, Ohio to Argyle and Regina (Patton) Davis.  On March 12, 1959, she married Alvin A. Fosse who preceded her in death on November 4, 2021.

She is survived by her twin sister Darolyn Quayle, and her elder sister, Beverly Bilon, her daughter Shelly, and her son Damien.

No public services will be held.

Donations in her name for children’s picture books may be given to the Lima Public Library.

She is with the bluebirds of happiness.
