69 of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 1:00 A.M. at her residence.
Born Tuesday, August 5, 1941 in Glen Lyn, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Harman and Bernice Meadows Harman.
She was employed by Bath Schools.
Carrol Marie Furr, 69 died Tuesday, July 26 at her residence. After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed with her family by her side. Mrs. Furr was married to Jack Furr, who survives, and just celebrated their 50th Anniversary on June 10th. Mrs. Furr enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, gardening, card clubs and traveling with friends and family.
The family would like to thank friends and family for the food, support and the amazing amount of love that has been shared--an obvious testament of the lives that were touched by Mrs. Furr.
Surviving are daughter Jackie (Ronald) Jones of Hendersonville, NC., a daughter, Misty & (Troy) Hefner of Loveland, Ohio, a son, Rodney (Angi) Furr of Kettering, OH., Seven grandchildren, Ronald, Jr., Jacob, Celeste, Cybil, Calloway, Emma, Jackson. brothers, Gary Harman of Glen Lyn, VA and Barry (Debra) Harman of Ballard , WV, sisters, Lorna (Tony) Shoemaker of Biloxi, MS, Kathy (Duane) Dotson of Princeton, WV, Donna (Doug) Vaught of Christiansburg, VA and Drema (Danny) Horn of Cedar Bluff, VA.
She was predeceased by sister, Charlotte Sweigart.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor Gary Hohman officiating. Interment will be in Ward Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
