Carroll F. Pugsley

87, died Jun 23, 2018, at home in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born September 11, 1930, in Lima, Ohio, to Frank and Helen C. (Kennedy) Pugsley, who preceded him in death. He was married March 16, 1963, in Decatur, Ind., to Nedra A. Pugsley, the love of his life, who also preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Warren Pugsley, Gail Pugsley, Paul Pugsley, Winfield Pugsley and grandsons Gregory Layman and Andrew Layman.

Mr. Pugsley worked for the railroad for over 40 years. He worked first for the Nickle Plate Railroad and then for Norfolk and Western and Norfolk and Southern Railroads. He retired at age 62.

Survivors include his brother Ronald F. (Annie) Pugsley of Lima, Ohio, two daughters, Judith (Brad) Sexson, of Pensacola, Fla., and Cecilia (Lonnie) Layman, of Elida, and two sons, Steven A. (Anna) Pugsley, of Woodland, CA., and Chris (Terry) Mayse, of Brandywine, Maryland; and 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home June 28 at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service for family and friends 2:00 pm.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
