Catherine was born at St. Rita's Hospital, the first daughter of Paul
A. and Martha (Wright) Moore, and lived her entire life in Lima. After
graduation from St. Rose High School in 1956 she began her career as an executive secretary at Westinghouse, where she served her entire working life including a short period after the Lima Westinghouse plant was purchased by Sunstrand.
Catherine was a communicant of St. Rose Church and a life-long
supporter of Maryknoll Missions throughout the world. Catherine is remembered for her dedication to rescuing stray cats and dogs.
She is survived by one brother, Michael Moore, of Gainesville, Virginia
and his wife, Anne (Blanchard) Moore. Her only sister, Elizabeth Suzanne (Moore) Schoonover, predeceased Catherine in 2011. Also, Catherine is survived by nieces Meagan Moore of Sewickley, PA, and Rachel (Moore) Tice of Monument, CO, and one nephew, Evan Moore, of Spokane, WA. Two grand-nieces and five grand-nephews have been the grateful recipients of many books and educational materials gifted by Catherine.
