Catherine "Cathy" Collins

Catherine “Cathy” Collins, 73, passed away on September 18, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by her loving family.

Catherine was born on July 29, 1950, in Buffalo, New York to Fedele C. and Elizabeth M. (Hughes) Porreca.

Catherine’s family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina (James Jr.) Reed; grandchildren, Brianna (Francis) Sutton, Makayla (Jacob) Williams, and Hunter Reed; great-grandchildren, Mason, Willow, McKynlee, and Milo; siblings, Joseph Porreca, Francis (Linda) Porreca, Mary (William) Walter, and Laurie (Raymond) Shambrock; nieces, Brooke (Raymond) Robinson, and Justin (Julie Maxwell) Stoddard; and several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Mary “Jeanne” Porreca, and a sister-in-law, Alice Porreca.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.  Father Kent Kaufman will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio
