Charles Thomas Foley

Charles “Chuck” Thomas Foley, 58, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, GA. due to a long-term illness, and now is in the hands of our Lord.

Chuck was born on October 23, 1963 in Lima, OH, to Andrew V. and Rosemarie (Faccenda) Foley.

Chuck was a 1982 graduate of Shawnee High School.  He enjoyed music; singing, and playing the guitar and drums.  He was also on the high school wrestling team and in the drama club.  He moved to Texas in 1983 and went to work for Sensormatic Security Inc., which installed all the equipment for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA.  He moved to Columbus, OH and made a career change in 2000 to work as an auto parts specialist for Combs Collision and  Byers imports. He moved to Atlanta in 2014.

He is survived by his brothers, Andrew J. (Mary) Foley and Michael F. (Tami) Foley; sisters, Nanette E. Achenbach and Dawn M. Foley; Uncle Joe Jr. who was like a brother to him; two other special uncles; one special nephew; five special nieces; seven special great-nieces and great-nephews; three step-daughters; and many cousins.  Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Achenbach.

A special thanks to Lisa (Hughes) Waltz, a “True Friend” of Chuck's through his life and sickness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Eagles Aerie #370, Lima on October 23, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.  A private family Christian Burial will be at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chuck’s memory to the Shawnee Local School District, Music Dept., 3255 Zurmehly Rd., Lima, OH 45806 or charity of your choice in his name.
