Charles Hatcher

CHARLES EUGENE ?CHARLIE? HATCHER, III 18, died at 2:30 a.m. June 23, 2006, in a single car accident in Newport, North Carolina. He was born October 9, 1987, in Lima, Ohio to Charles E. Hatcher, Jr. and Judy Marie Smith Neal. His father and stepmother, Lisa Hatcher, survive in Moorehead, North Carolina. His mother and stepfather, Darrin Neal, survive in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Hatcher loved sports. He played football and wrestled for Shawnee High School. He was an avid Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia 76ers fan. He will be sadly missed by many cousins, family and friends. Survivors also include a sister, Kayla Hatcher of Lima, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Erenest and Dollie Smith; maternal grandmother, Mary K Brown; paternal grandmother; Brenda Hatcher; paternal grandparents, Solomon and Darlene Campbell; four uncles, Kevin Hatcher, Clint (Denise) Hatcher, Brent (Molly) Hatcher and Danny (Jenny) Neal; three aunts, Tammy (James) Sockrider, Jr. Rebecca Moye and Tiffany Brown; and a special friend, Ashley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jewell M. Smith; his paternal grandfather, Charles ?Butch? Hatcher Sr.; his maternal grandfather, Paul Brown; and an uncle Derrick Brown. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The rev. Doneta Warren will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
