Charles Metzger

Charles F. ?Bud? Metzger, 80, formerly of Elida, died at 12:35 a.m. Feb. 24, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical . He was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Spencerville to Clifford and LaVerne McMillian Metzger, who preceded him in death. On May 23, 1954, he married Marilyn Hollar, who survives in Wapakoneta. Mr. Metzger retired as a press operator from H a y e s - A l b i o n / T r i m Trends, Spencerville, after 42 years. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida. Survivors include two daughters, Becky (Michael) Line, of Wapakoneta, and Marlene (Jeff) Kole, of Highland Heights; two grandchildren, Lauren and Amy Kole; and a sister, Betty Enslen, of Walbridge. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Metzger. A private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date in Spencerville Cemetery, Spencerville. The Rev. Gary Rode will officiate.
