Charles Edward Spees, Jr., 75 of Lima passed away at 8:39 AM, April 12, 2013.
at his residence.
He was born Monday, March 14, 1938 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles E. Spees Sr., and the late Marjorie Holton Spees. On June 7, 1959 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church he married Linda Lou Callahan and she survives in Lima.
He was a retired self-employed electrician having worked at Neon Products, Sheller-Globe/Superior Coaches, Harry J. Wagner & Son. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #370 (Past officer), Brands Lake Fishing Club, Bill Moose Muzzleloader Club, and Shawnee Long Rifle Club.
Surviving are three sons, Charles E. "Chuck" (Cindy) Spees, III, Joseph D (Barbara Courtney) Spees and Kenneth W. (Ashleigh) Spees. He had 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Almond F. Spees and Ernest G. Spees, and three sisters; Patricia Johnson, Eunice E. Spees and Lydia "Sally" Simmons.
The family will be receiving visitors at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Monday April 15, 2013, with and Eagles Memorial Service at 7:30PM.
Services will be Tuesday April 16, 2013 at 11:00AM at the funeral home, Pastor Charles Richtmyer of Friends Church in St. Marys officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery
