Charles “Chuck” VanBuskirk

70, of Elida, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 8:33 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on October 31, 1949 in Lima to the late Robert and Helen {Tannehill} VanBuskirk.

Chuck worked as a truck driver for 38 years with various trucking companies and was in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

He is survived by his sons: Ike (Kathleen) VanBuskirk and Charles VanBuskirk, 4 granddaughters: Katelyn, Molly, Helen, and Shelby VanBuskirk, brothers: Edwin VanBuskirk and Ted VanBuskirk, sisters: Gloria Sue (Ron) Habegger and Janet VanBuskirk, step-son Stephen Spencer, as well as his longtime companion Linda Beaucage.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jay VanBuskirk and sister Judy Valentine.

His family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
