Chris A. Ruhlen, 61, passed away at 7:00 AM, Monday,
September 23 at Hospice, St.Ritas Medical Center.
Chris was born on February 17, 1958 in Bluffton, Ohio
to Jerry A. and Janice (Weaver) Ruhlen who survive at
Smith Mountain Lake Virginia.Chris came to Lima shortly
after graduating highschool in Virginia.He was first
married to Kathy (Carter) Baldazo of Lima, who survives.
He later married Gina Hayes Ruhlen who also survives.
Chris had worked at Water Equipment, MetoKote and Proctor
& Gamble in Lima.
Chris had many hobbies including repairing cars, lawn
mowers, anything with an engine, gardening, playing pool, and talking on the CB radio. He also enjoyed
assembling model airplanes and cars. He built several race cars and was an avid drag racer.
Survivors also include 5 sons; Chris (Jessie) Ruhlen
of Bluffton; Brian Ruhlen of Columbus Grove; Brent (Tina)
Ruhlen, Bradley Hayes and Tyler Ruhlen, all of Lima;
2 sisters, Julie Ruhlen of Winchester, Virginia and Jennifer (Mike) Bavisotto of Fairfax, Virginia and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Monday, October 7, 2019 at
Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio with a
memorial service immediately following.
In memory of Chris, memorial contributions may be made to
the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
