Christian Monroe ?Chris? Neff 19, died Sept. 19, 2007, from injuries suffered in a bomb explosion while on patrol in Iraq. He was born Jan. 8, 1988, in Lima to William and Nancy Kelley Neff, who survive in Lima. Mr. Neff was in the Army serving as a specialist with Company C, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment out of Fort Stewart, Ga. He was a 2006 graduate of Apollo Career Center. Survivors also include a sister, Shannon Neff, at home; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Margery Neff, of Lima; four aunts, Carolyn (Richard) Cox, of Dayton, Marsha Baker, of Pensacola, Fla., Mary Ann Kelley, of Little Elm, Texas, and Carla (Jeff) Green, of Lima; and two uncles, several cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Carl and Virginia Kelley; and an uncle, Ronald M. Kelley. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Shawnee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
