Christopher Blosser

Christopher M. ?Chris? Blosser 15, died at 10:30 a.m. July 15, 2007, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1992, in Lima to Michael and Jacqueline Helmig Blosser, who survive in Lima, Ohio. Chris was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He played Midget Football with the Shawnee Quilnas, played football and wrestled at Shawnee Middle School and wrestled at Shawnee High School. He loved fishing, skateboarding, boating and jet skiing. He loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors also include a sister, Erika Blosser, at home; maternal grandmother, Carol Grubenhoff Helmig, of Lima, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Shirley Barnett Blosser, of Elida,Ohio; maternal great-grandmother, Marian Grubenhoff, of Solon; an uncle, Brian (Michelle) Helmig, of Lima, Ohio; five aunts, Paula (Brett) Duebner, of Belgium, Wis., Pamela (Dominic) Alessandro, of Cleveland, Ohio, Becky Helmig, of Lima, Ohio, Beverly Dailey, of Millers Creek, N.Carolina, and Julie (Larry Carpenter) Golliher, of Lima, Ohio; and several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Clarence ?Junior? Helmig; paternal grandmother, Joann Shade Blosser; and paternal great-grandmother, Mary Zerkel Blosser. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Blum will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
