52 of Lima, Ohio died on Monday, September 3, 2012, at 1:51 P.M. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Born Tuesday, April 5, 1960 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late George M. Sites and Patricia A. (Ford) Sites, who survives in Winterhaven, Florida
Christopher married Barbara J. Leichty on November 16, 1979 in Lima, Ohio and she survives in Lima. He retired from Big Lots after 25 plus years in management. He was currently employed at the Eagles Club. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 370-Lima; the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199-Lima; the American Legion Post 96-Lima; the Orioles Nest 173-Lima. He was an avid Notre Dame fan, loved watching baseball, and spending time with his granddaughter, who he adored and loved dearly. He loved traveling, going on cruises with his family and going to casinos. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Eagles and was also a member of the Eagles Riders Club.
Surviving are: a son, Nicholas Sites of Lima, OH, daughter, Krista (Lee) Fromm of Lima, OH; a granddaughter, Kylee Rae Fromm; mother & father-in-law, Ronald & Patricia Leichty of Lima, OH; two brothers, Jeffrey (Cheri) Sites of Tarpon Springs, FL and Michael (Nellie) Sites of Lima, OH; two sisters, Linda Sites of San Diego, CA and Staci (Jeff) Dick of Lima, OH; a special brother-in-law David Leichty of Yonkers, NY; two sisters-in-law, Sandy Leichty of Lima, OH and Jill (Ron) Murino of Spencerville, Ohio; an Uncle Stanley Sites of Lima, OH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by a step-mother, Shirley Sites whom with his father, she raised.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and 2:00 P.M. to 8:00P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the funeral home. There will be an Eagles Service at 8:00 P.M. after the visitation on Sunday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, with Rev. J. Norbert Howe officiating.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
