Clara Irene Brown, 97, died at 12:20 p.m. Oct. 19, 2007, at Lost Creek Care Center. She was born April 5, 1910, in Lima, to Noah and Maude Little Adams, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 29, 1936, in Lima, she married William Carl "Brownie" Brown, who died Nov. 23, 1999. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and was employed for more than 40 years at D.W.G. Cigar Factory. She was a faithful, life-long member of First Church of God. She loved to play Yahtzee. Survivors include a son, Roger A. (Becky) Brown, of Lima; two daughters, Gwendolyn (Sheeks) Hennon and Dolores "Deedy" (Richard) Snider, both of Lima; five grandsons, Michael Brown, Dustin Brown, James Hennon, Herb Dischinger and Chuck Dischinger; three granddaughters, Kathy Brown, Julie Brown Redha and Carla Edwards; nine great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Neil Hennon and Walter Dischinger; four sisters, three brothers and five nieces and nephews, including Lima Police Officer William Brown. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Mishler will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
