Clyde D. Rader,

86, passed away at 2 p.m., on Monday, January 18, 2016, at Arbor Oak Assisted Living in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Clyde was born on April 9, 1929, in Lima, Ohio to the late Elvin Rader and Carrie (Oakley) Rader. On Saturday, April 29, 1950, he married Jeannette C. Laman. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2015. He was an engineer and retired in 1984 from Lima Register. He built several houses throughout Elida and his love for woodworking was evident throughout his life. He loved spending time with his wife and family.

He is survived by two daughters, Nanette (James) Maley, Lisa (Doug) Spain; three grandchildren, Susan (Tim) Crane, Jessica (Dean) Johnson and Jennifer (Aaron) Bradley; a brother, Bud Rader; ten great grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law, Erin Maley.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Maley; two brothers, Jack Rader and Elvin Rader, Jr; a sister, Eileen Rader.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Kent Wilson will officiate.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio.
