CLYDE TACKETT Jr., 76, died at 4:05 a.m. May 23, 2007 at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton, Ohio. He was born March 12, 1931, in Auxier, Kentucky, to Clyde and Rebecca Adkins Tackett Sr., who preceded him in death. Mr. Tackett loved the game of golf, funny movies, westerns and Rook. He was the only retired caddy that Paintsville Country Club ever had. He took three generations of neighborhood kids, nieces and nephews to the "Candy Store." He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Survivors include a brother, Thomas Ray (Marian) Tackett, of Ellajy, Georgia; two sisters, Allene Tackett Pack, of Vaungnsville, Ohio, and Eleine (Jonas) Hostetler, of Lima, Ohio; nephews, Larry Pack, of Bettysville, Kentucky; Clyde Edward Tackett, of Buchannan, W.Virginia, Thomas Tackett Jr., of Georgia, Rick Tackett, of Oklahoma, J.C. Reece, of Alabama, Kenneth Reese, of Atlanta, and Mark Pack, of Columbus Grove, Ohio; nine nieces, Lisa Tackett, of Texas, Diane Stubbs, of Alabama, Linda Clark, of Fairborn, Ohio, Kaye Starr, of Harrod, Ohio, Tina Rieman, of Ottawa, Ohio, Rebecca Pack, of Vaungnsville, Ohio, Kim Dray, of Columbus Grove, Ohio, Cherie Tice, of Kansas, and Ruth Ann Perry, of Pierceton, Indiana; many great-nieces, -nephews and friends; a sister-in-law, Sherrie Tackett, of Texas; a brother-in-law, Henry Reece, of Alabama; and his dog, a faithful companion, Rosie. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William E. Tackett and Ora Tackett; and two sisters, Mary Magdeline Tackett and Loraine Reece. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Ministers Ed Wireman and Larry Bibler will officiate. Burial will be in Vaughnsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Richland Manor activities fund.
