Daisy Johnson Clemons

Daisy Johnson Clemons, 89, took the Lord’s hand at 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at her home in Lima.

Daisy was born on May 29, 1933 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to James and Pearlie (Sloan) Johnson.  In May of 1957 she married Warnie R. Clemons, who preceded her in death on March 31, 2003.  She took good care of him until his passing.

Daisy was a homemaker and a woman of faith.  She was a member of Lima Missionary Baptist Church, and walked in the ways of the Lord.  Her and Warnie worked hard all their lives, and lived a good life together.  Daisy loved to quilt and bake.  She shared her wonderful cooking and baking skills with her family.

She is survived by her grandson, Jimmy Johnson of Michigan; siblings; Marie Arnett of Indiana, Emmet Jr. Johnson of Kentucky, and Alan Johnson of Michigan; many nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Crystal Gayle.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James C. Johnson; siblings: Beatrice Deubler, Virginia McKissick, Will Johnson, Columbus Johnson, Henry Johnson, Eli Johnson, Bee Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Eliza Ousley, and Rebecca Ann Brown.

The family will receive friends from 11 am. to 1 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.  Rev. Terry Brock will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
