Daniel E. "Bud" O'Keefe

72, died at 10:04 AM on Monday, September 7, 2015, at Kindred Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

Bud was born on January 7, 1943, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Eugene O'Keefe and Mildred (Siebeneck) O'Keefe.

Bud served in the National Guard. He retired in 1989 from GM Central Foundry in Defiance, Ohio after 25 plus years. He was a member of the Lima Eagles Aerie No. 371 and the Lima Moose Lodge No. 199. He enjoyed traveling, dropping by to visit family and spending time with his grandchildren, as well as spending many days at the Lima Public Library.

He is survived by: sons, Dave (Nancy) O'Keefe of Lima and Dan (Deb) O'Keefe, Jr. of Lima; two brothers, Robert (Sherry) O'Keefe of Elida and John (Marcia) O'Keefe of Lima; brother-in-law, Ray Carroll of Elida and Ronnie Wheeler of Defiance; grandchildren, Shaina O'Keefe of Amherst, Kylie O'Keefe of Marysville, Lauren R. (Wes) Todd of Auburn, AL and Ian M. Quick of Columbus, OH; and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by: sisters, Carol O'Keefe, Ruth Carroll and Pat Wheeler; brother, Bill O'Keefe; former wife, Susan K. Schurr; and good friend, Peggy Webber.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede funeral Home. Rosalie Lora will officiate.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
