71, died at 11:24 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.
Dannie was born on Monday, June 11, 1945, in Wellston, Ohio, to the late Dannie and Helen [Evans] Davis, Sr. On Thursday, August 24, 1967, he married Violet, who preceded him in death on February 6, 2017.
Dannie served in the United States Army. He was a big advocate for the local clubs such as the Eagles, Orioles and American Legion.
He is survived by his children: Clifford (Donna) Vititoe, Charlie (Evette) Vititoe, Donald Vititoe, Penny (Keith) Jacklin, Missy Vititoe, Dannie (Brenda) Davis, III, and Kenny (Mandi) Davis; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and two sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Walter and Phyllis (Larry) Osbourne.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Fisher, a daughter, Dana Davis, a sister, Valerie Jonas, a brother, Jean Davis, grandson, Clinton Vititoe, and great grandson, Chad Clemons, III.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston, Ohio.
