Darla Cook

Darla Cook, 60, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Liberty Retirement Community.  

Darla was born on May 22, 1964, in Lima, Ohio to William F. Cook and Euphee (Goodman) Ramsey.  

Darla enjoyed shopping and socializing with friends and family. She also loved her dogs, JJ and Ty. Darla also did intervention at Alanon meetings and enjoyed traveling and going to new places. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Howlett of Marion; brothers, Rick (Deb) Cook, and Tony (Diane Curry) Cook; a niece, Ashley Cook; a nephews, Joe Cook, Jason Cook, and Sammy Mitchell; great nephew, Drew Cook. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; and stepfather, William Ramsey; an aunt Doris Zuha; and life partner, Alan DuVernay. 

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.. Chaplain Mark Lovely will officiate.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
