Darliene J. Conaway,
76 of Lima, Ohio died on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Born Friday, September 7, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William Gassman and the late Alta Horstman Gassman. She was the wife of Charles Conaway.
Mrs. Conaway graduated from Lima Central High School in 1952. She was president of Welcome Wagon in the 1970's, in the 1980's she was business manager at Bill Ahl Buick and co-owner of Sapps Car Company. In the early 1960's she was a runner-up in the Mrs. America Contest. For the past few years she has enjoyed making flower arrangements. Her second husband Don Sapp, whom she married in September 1975, died May 2, 2003. She then married Charles Conaway on July 16, 2005 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David (Heather) EnYart of Bend, OR and Michael (Kim) EnYart of Plain City, OH, and two daughters, Mishell EnYart of Dayton, OH and Melinda EnYart of Lima, OH. four Step Daughters, Mary Kramer of Dallas, TX, Judy Hollar, Lima, Ohio, , Karen & Steve Hollar of Lima, Ohio, , Tammarra McDaniel, Lima, Ohio, and a Step Son, Rodney (Renee) Conaway, Wapakoneta, Ohio, fourteen Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, and Three Step Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step son, Charles Conaway, Jr. and Step Daughter, Tonya Parsons.
A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob White -- First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
