Darrel L. Young,

79, died at 6:10 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

Darrel was born on Thursday, November 11, 1937, in Allen County, Ohio, to the late Woodrow and Wilma [Wingate] Young. On Saturday, December 13, 1958, he married Barb Patton who survives in Elida.

He was retired from B.P. Chemical in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of the Eagles Airee #370 and enjoyed searching for antiques.

He is survived by a son, Marcus Young of Elida; daughter, Connie Saikley of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Cameron Saikley and Morgan Saikley and a brother, Nile (Christine) Young of Gig Harbor, Washington.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 1PM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 1 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Jim Menke will officiate. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos, Ohio.
