DARRELL E. "SKIP" FRAIL, 77, died at 3:10 a.m. December 4, 2005, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. He was born December 3, 1928, in Lima, Ohio to O.B. "Bill" and Mabel Smith Frail, who preceded him in death. On July 3, 1949, he married Thelma Mauk, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Frail was co-owner, along with his father, of O.B. Frail & Son. He was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. He had served on the board of the Shawnee Cemetery. He loved woodworking and his family. Survivors also include a daughter, Joyce (Steve) Parlette of Gahanna, Ohio; two sons, Doug Frail and Dan (Joy) Frail, both of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Bettye Jo Frail and D. Jean (Lowell) Lacy, both of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren, John (Lynette) Brentlinger, Joel (Maria) Brentlinger, James Brentlinger, Amelia (Kedron) Rhodes, Jason (Shayna) Parlette, Benjamin Frail and Bethany Frail; three great-grandchildren, Johnny Mac Brentlinger, Ilana Rhodes and Jordan Parlette; and a son-in-law, John Brentlinger of Vaughnsville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Brentlinger; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Frail. Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastors Gary Hohman and Ronald B. Cannon will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
