Darwin LaDale Fuqua

Darwin LaDale Fuqua, age 48, died at 5:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

Darwin was born on November 21, 1972, in Lima, Ohio, to Nelson Fuqua and Jenedder (Cunningham) Fuqua.  He married the love of his life, Melissa (Latham) Fuqua on January 15, 1999.

Darwin was a graduate of Lima Senior High School in 1991. He was an avid poker player, a fantastic cook and baker, and had a knack for finding the best movies and music.  Darwin had the story-telling ability that could motivate others to become a better person.  Most of all, Darwin was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  His humor and smile could brighten any room.

Darwin is survived by his wife, Melissa Fuqua; son, Gillian (Erin Stonehill) West; daughter, Brianna Fuqua; three grandchildren: Maxwell West, Legend West, Evie West; siblings: Veronisa Fuqua, Nelson Fuqua, and LaQuala (Kevin) Fuqua-Geans; many nieces and nephews, many cousins; and his parents.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.  His home going service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH.
