Darwin O. Lofton, 49, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on November 25, 1967 in Dayton. On June 18, 2016 he married LaShea Smith who survives in Dayton. Other survivors include his mother Jane Lofton, daughters Paige L. Lofton and Adanna M. Smith, father and mother-in-law Leophas and Bettye Smith, nieces Valencia L. Lee, Janey Almanza, and Rosalita Almanza-Petty, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and extended family and friends. Darwin was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Almanza.

Darwin was in the Army National Guard and then graduated from Ohio University. He served faithfully as the Parish Relations Pastor at Cornerstone Church in Lima for over 20 years and was also executive director at Heir Force Community School. He enjoyed teaching, loving people, and helping people in their lives. He was an avid football fan, especially for the Florida State Seminoles. He lived his life for the Lord, his wife, his daughters, and his church.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Cornerstone Church, 2000 N. Cole St. Lima, Ohio from 10:30-11:30AM where the home going service will follow at 11:30AM. Pastor David Roberts will officiate. Graveside Service will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
