David R. "Bullet" Crowe, 76 of Lima, Ohio died on Friday, March 16, 2012, at 5:00 P.M. at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
Born January 30, 1936 in Alger, Ohio, he was the son of Nead and Lilly Elizabeth Barnett Crowe who preceded him in death. On July 15, 1954 in Lima he married Doris Hipkins who survives in Lima.
He was employed by National Lime & Stone retiring in 2002 as a equipment loader/operator.
He was a member of American Legion Post #96, Lima. He loved fishing, bowling, golf, and racing. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds Fan. He was a former Little League baseball coach.
Surviving are; four sons, Dave Crowe, Jr., Dale (Barb) Crowe, Doug Crowe and Duane Crowe all of Lima, Also surviving are; eleven grandchildren, Jesse (Jen) Crowe, Shavawn Crowe, Kyle Crowe and Ashley Nichols, Adam (Brenda) Crowe all of Lima, Lindsay Crowe of Columbus, Sondra Crowe, Schuyler Crowe, Charity Crowe and Tristan Crowe all of Lima and Tiphine Williams of Cincinnati. Three great-grandchildren, Destiny, Carter and Haylan. Also surviving are a sister Ruth Sheets, Lima and a Brother-in-law Clayton Weimer of Harrod,
He was preceded in death by eight brothers, brothers, Elmer Crowe, John Crowe, James Crowe, Ernest Crowe, Glen Crowe, Roy Crowe and Herbert Crowe, three sisters, Elva Cross, Rose Parente and Rita Weimer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM , Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Emerson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 19, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
