David Alan Preston

David Alan Preston, age 50, passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital at 4:59 a.m. on Mon. Nov. 27, 2017.

He was born June 9, 1967 in Kenton, Ohio to Paul and Maxine (Haudenschield) Preston. Both preceded him in death.

He was married to Kimberly Connolly in 1992; they later divorced.

Dave graduated from Hardin Northern in 1985, where he excelled in sports. In 1990 he received a bachelor degree with honors from BGSU. He was a proud veteran in the U.S. Army. David sold cars for many years, at one time co-owning a car lot. He most recently worked at La Riche in Findlay as internet/finance manager. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Steelers, even naming his German Shepherd “Steele”. He also listened to books on cd and liked to travel and flying when he got the chance. He especially loved spending time with his boys and was proud of their military service. Dave had a good sense of humor and tried to make people laugh. More recently he enjoyed collecting guns and going to the shooting range.

Survivors include sons, David S. Preston of Kenton, Tyler D. (Samantha) Bernadotte of Norfolk, VA, Drew A. (Taylor) Preston of Lakewood, WA; sister and best friend Lora Capps of Lima, brother Steve (Julie) Preston of Kenton; on niece, one nephew and one granddaughter.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to special cousins Nicki Campbell and Lynn (Ron) Lusher for their help and support.
