David Ward,
55 of Lima, Ohio died after a courageous fight with cancer
on Sunday, January 29, 2012, at 4:35 P.M. at his residence in Lima, Ohio. David was born on Nov. 9, 1956, in Hamilton, Ohio. His partner Thomas Cullen survives.
Together they started the Victorian Corner in Lima in 1981 and Cullen Art Glass in Dublin in 1985. Their stained glass work can be seen in churches and homes throughout Lima and the Columbus area. For more than a decade, they could be found at summer art shows across Ohio, and at the B.I.A. of Central Ohio's Parade of Homes. David was a longtime supporter of Square Fair, The Council of the Arts, and many charities that helped children and families in need. David loved the arts, travelling, interior design, and Ohio State football. David attended St. Rose Catholic Church
David was preceded in death by two very close friends, Carlyle Perry Jr. and Ruth English Schimpf.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio with Rev. David M. Ross officiating.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with a wake service at 8:00 P.M.
