Dean H. Sawmiller

MARION — Dean H. Sawmiller age 87 of Marion, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2017 at Dewolfe House. He was born December 5, 1930 in Elida, Ohio to the late James D. and Florence (Miller) Sawmiller.

On March 2, 1963 he married Rosalea (Osenbaugh) Sawmiller, they shared 54 years together. She preceded him in death on November 23, 2017.

Dean was employed at Ford Motor Company as a machinist for 30 years.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Osenbaugh of Villa Rica, Ga., Patricia (Roger) Brinkman of Delphos, Oh., Theresa Montgomery of Findlay, Oh., Gregory Sawmiller of Abilene, Tx., Pamela (Mike) Beaber of Fremont, Oh., Victoria (Calvin) Harrell of Lima, Oh., 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and his sister in law, Sandra Roth of Lima, Oh.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, Warren Sawmiller, his sister, Mabelle Briggs, his twin sister who died after birth, Eleanor Sawmiller, his granddaughter, Michelle Osenbaugh and his great granddaughter, Joselyn Schelee.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10 – 12 PM at Chamberlain- Huckeriede Funeral Home, 920 North Cable Road, Lima, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Allentown Cemetery.
