Dennis Gene “Geno” Louth, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at his residence in Cloverdale, Ohio after a sudden heart attack.
Dennis was born on April 11, 1956, in Lima, Ohio, the eldest child of the late William and Helen Louth.
He is survived by his siblings: Sue (David) May of Spencerville, OH, Diana (Jim) Smith of Haines City, FL, Ian (Jeff Dorsten) Louth of Elida, OH and Joan Helen Louth of The Villages, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis ran a paper route as a teen. He loved riding motorcycles. He played trumpet in Lima Senior High School concert, pep and marching bands. Mark Sampson was Denny’s high school comrade and lifelong friend. Dennis was proud of his high school vocal role in "Fiddler on the Roof". He studied music performance at Capital University in Columbus, OH.
Dennis became a licensed cosmetologist designing and cutting hair for numerous clients working in Columbus, OH until 2003. He then moved to Elida, OH and was a heating and air conditioning technician owning/operating All in One Services.
Dennis enjoyed the companionship of his beloved pets. He spent many years at his grandparents’ and parents’ farm on Allentown Road in Elida, OH.
He enjoyed his friends whom he met with frequently. He also enjoyed watching T.V. on Roku and working on mechanical things, such as cars.
His health conditions in 2021 preceded his retirement to Cloverdale, OH. One of Dennis’ FaceBook posts reads, "To be happy you must: Let go of what’s gone. Be grateful for what remains. Look forward to what’s to come next." Dennis accepted Jesus’ invitation to come and dine together in heaven. What a glorious NEXT! Peace.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
