Dennis “Denny” L. Buettner,
62, died at 7:28 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Dennis was born on Wednesday, October 12, 1955, in Lima, to the late John Doyle and Bertilla Matilda (Rahrig) Buettner. On Saturday, October 15, 1977, he married Judy Grady who survives in Elida.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Dennis was retired from St. Rita's Medical Center. He brokered cars for car lots in the five surrounding States. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church and a member of their Praise and Worship Team. He was a member of the Elida Optimist Club and Eagles Airee #370. Dennis was a volunteer for Elida Fire and Rescue Department.
He is also survived by a son, Logan (Marsha Huffer) Buettner, Cridersville; a daughter, Jennifer Buettner, Elida; grandchildren, Emma and Arianna Buettner; a brother, Gary (JoAnn, deceased) Buettner, Delphos and a sister, Connie (Jerry) Paddubny, Ft. Jennings. He also had a three “special children,” Melanie Garcia, Tony Gilroy and Drew Laing.
He was preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Buettner.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio and an hour before the service on Wednesday at the church.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Tim Benjamin will officiate.
The family would like to thank the Rescue Squads of Elida, Delphos and LACP; Vancrest Nursing Home and all of the nurses, techs, clergy and doctors at St. Rita’s Medical Center and Hospice Staff.
