56, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at her residence in Lima.

Desiree was born on Wednesday, April 6, 1960, in Lima, to the late Ralph Richard Schoonover and to Bernadette "Mary" (Kennerson) Schoonover who survives in Lima.

Desiree had worked as a transcriptionist in the health care industry at St. Rita's and Lima Memorial Hospitals. She was a volunteer for the Appleseed Ridge Girl Scouts and the American Heart Association. She also loved animals and she especially loved her two grandchildren. She enjoyed yard work and gardening.

She is survived by: daughter, Monica (Andrew) Hubbard of Lima; grandchildren, Andrew Hubbard and Braydon Hubbard; brothers, Thomas Schoonover, Michael (Joyce) Schoonover, Gregory (Sandy) Schoonover and Eric (Andrea) Schoonover and a sister, Teresa Schoonover.

She is preceded in death by: sisters, Nadine Hillard and Roberta Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 P.M. on Monday, October 3rd at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima.

A memorial service will begin at 7 P.M. on Monday, October 3rd at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima. Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate.
