Dixianna Ross Longmeier, 75, died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday at her residence. She was born February 23, 1934, in Waynesfield, Ohio to Robert May and Roberta Williams May Gallup, who preceded her in death. On March 24, 2001, she married Harold Longmeier, who died Sept. 15, 2004. Mrs. Longmeier was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She retired from Lima State Hospital-Oakwood Forensic Hospital. She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 199, American Legion Post 96 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, where she served in several offices. Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Samuel) Colabianchi, of Canonsburg, Pa., Lori (David) Page, of Lima, and Lisa (Randy) Stewart, of Harrod; two sons, Richard (Carol) Ross, of Elida, and Thomas Ross, of Lima; a brother, Larry (Carolyn) May, of Findlay; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her loving dog, Buddy; and the loving and immediate extended family of her late husband. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose Catholic Church. The Rev. David M. Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
