Don L. Newland, Jr., 62 of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died on Saturday, November 19, 2011.
Born Saturday, February 12, 1949 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Don L. Newland, Sr. and his mother who survives in Lima, Ohio, Patricia Shenk Newland.
Don married Joan Newland, she survives in Ft. Meyers, Florida. He graduated from Lima Senior High School. He served in the United States Army in Northern Italy, during the Vietnam War. When he lived in Lima he worked at Superior Coach as a welder. He currently was employed by the South West Florida Regional Airport.
Surviving siblings include, Jamie K. Newland of Lima, OH, Lana (John) Lowry of Wapakoneta, Greg A. Newland of Celina, OH and Beth (Randy) Ridenour of Lima, OH.
A Memorial service will be at 7:30 PM on Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor Kenny Rader officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
