Don Rollins, 71, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 20, 1952, in Springfield, Ohio to the late Jack and Lillian {Williams} Rollins Sr.
Don worked as a tow truck driver for Army’s Towing. He also would travel around redoing bowling alleys. He loved NASCAR racing and working on cars. He was an avid fan of Dale Ernhart Sr. racing and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed working in his garden and above all, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his dear friend, Cheryl Rollins; children: Michelle Kersker, Matthew (Heather) Patten, Donnie (Megan) Patten, David Sampson, Brandy (Chris) Garee, and Shawn (Krystal) Rollins; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Randy Rollins; sister, Terri Nuss; brother-in-law, Jim Fay; and best friends, Jay and Brenda Hillard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy DeWitt; grandsons, Jacob Garee and Christopher Garee Jr.; great-grandson, Braxton Mathew Patten; sisters, Ilene Fay and Alice Scott; and brothers: Jack Rollins Jr., George Rollins, and Roger Rollins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, where a funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
