Donald Barth

Donald Barth, 91, passed away at 1:47 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

Donald was born on February 20, 1929, in Marietta, OH, to Clarence and Vergie (Shaw) Barth.  On May 23, 1953 he married Lois J. (Buettner) Barth who preceded him in death on August 1, 2014.

Donald was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He worked at Lennox and retired from the Stuttgart, AR Lennox Plant in 1991.  He was a member of Westside United Methodist Church, Lima Lodge 205 F&AM, and Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus.

He is survived by his daughter, Renae Cole of Lima; granddaughter, Randi Mayer of Lima; great-grandsons, Gage and Collier Mayer; special companion, Martha Morrisey; and many nieces and nephews.  Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Robert, Glen, and Roy Barth.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, followed by a Masonic and Funeral Service at 2 p.m.   Rev. James Wilder will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Carmen Cemetery, Gomer, OH.
