Donald L. ?Goose? Gossard 68, died at 9:40 a.m. October 11, 2007, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1939, in Lima, Ohio to Gale and Frances (Hyde) Gossard, who preceded him in death. On April 17, 1965, in Owensboro, Kentucky, he married Lima R. (Cambron) Gossard, who survives in Lima, Ohio . Mr. Gossard worked as a salesman for Gossard Moving and Storage. He served in the U.S. Army. He was Past Exalted Ruler of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 in Lima. He was also a past member of Lima Exchange Club. He enjoyed golfing. He was an avid fan of both the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals. Survivors also include a daughter, Medesta Jack of Lima, Ohio; two sons, Jeff Kirk and Donald L. Gossard, both of Lima, Ohio; six grandchildren, Christopher, Adam, Alexis, Cambron, Caleb and Cienna; and a brother, Robert (Molly) Gossard of Waco, Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Gossard; and an uncle, Thomas Hyde. Elks Lodge of Sorrow Services will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elks Cerebral Palsy Fund.
