Donald L. Stipp,
78 of Lima, Ohio died on Monday, August 1, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio in Lima, Ohio.
Born Monday, July 10, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio, he was Adopted at the age 4 by the late John L. Stipp and the late Cleo M West Stipp.
He graduated from Galesburg, ILL. Senior High School in 1951. He was in communications while in the Korean War and continued in the Air Force Reserve until 1960. He was retired from the Best Western Hotel in Las Cruces, New Mexico as an accountant. He was a bronze certified member of the US Bowling Congress. He was a Country Music Disc Jockey at WAIK Radio station and was treasurer of the Country Music Association in Galesburg, ILL. He worked as a bowling instructor at Westgate Lanes and loved working with all the kids in the after school bowling program there. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, going to the races, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving are son, John E. (Anita) Stipp of Chino Valley, AZ, daughter, Deborah L. (Michael) Adams of Elida, OH. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Kaleb, Jacob, Jordan, and Hannah Adams, Erica and Shauna Stipp, and three great grandchildren, Benjamin, Lyndsey, and Susan Adams.
