Donald L. Tasler, 77, died at 4:25 p.m. October 11, 2008, at his residence. He was born October 1, 1931, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, to Charles Sr. and Flossie Abbot Tasler, who preceded him in death. On August 30, 1957, he married Ann Wilson, who survives. Mr. Tasler?s love of shooting sports led him to open and run Tasler?s Shooters supply, which he ran with his wife until after his retirement from the BP Chemical Plant in 1986. He was an avid trap shooter for many years, earning many trophies for his marksmanship and was a multitime member of the All-Ohio State Trap Shooting Team. He was a member of the Tri-County Gun Collectors Association, Amateur Trapshooting Association, National Rifle Association, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and Okoboji and Fugarwee Indians ceremonial shooting clubs. He wintered in Florida, living at the Silver Dollar Gun Club. Survivors also include two son, Terry Tasler, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Tim (Nadine) Tasler, of Whitehouse, Ohio; and two granddaughters, Rachel and Samantha.
