Donelda "Dolly" J Brogee

Donelda J. (Dolly) Brogee 92, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday August 25, 2021, at Lima Convalescent Home.

Donelda was born in  Lima, Ohio on October 5, 1928; Daughter of Dwaine and Mary (Verhoff) Snider. She graduated from Lima Central High School in 1946. She married Charles E. Brogee on October 28,1978.

She is survived by two children, Robert (Vivian) Myers of Lima, Ohio and Elizabeth (Brian) Bell of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Three granddaughters, Meredith (David Harrison) Bell of Pensacola, Florida; Morgan (Guy) Andrews of Avondale Estates, Georgia; Melissa (Mike) Smithson of Lima, Ohio and one grandson, Ryan Myers of New Albany, Ohio. She has three great granddaughters: Blake and Ada Andrews and Scarlett Smithson. Two Stepdaughters, Darla (Ron) Dixon of Celina, Ohio and Diane (Mitch) Bell of Jacksonville, Florida. She has three step-granddaughters and one step grandson. She also has five step- great grandchildren.

She worked in the dental industry in various positions and retired from Dr. Robert Brunk, DDS. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge. She was a member of the Ohio and Allen County Genealogical and Historical Societies. She was also chairperson of her Central High School Class reunions. She enjoyed the arts on the Lima Area.

The family will receive friends from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The funeral service will follow at 1p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.

The family would like to thank the Lima Convalescent Home and St. Rita’s Hospice for all their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to  the charity of the donor’s choice.
