Donnie Gene Boroff

Donnie Boroff, 67, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 6, 1956 in Lima to the late Clarence “Bodie” and Hazel {Tippie} Boroff. On May 3, 1992, he married Linda {Glick}, who survives him.

Donnie was known as being an overall amazing athlete. He was great at baseball, boxing, and was one of the top bowlers in Lima. He knew karate and won 2 Tough Man contests at the Allen County Fairgrounds. He was a fantastic dad and grandpa and was an outstanding protective husband and brother. He made sure everyone he loved was always safe and protected.

He is survived by his wife Linda, children: Shannon (Steven) Vickery, Tina Glick, Jay (Savannah) Boroff, and Donnie Boroff Jr., grandchildren: Kiana, Kiersten, Caitlin, Brooke, Blaine, Kaegan, RJ, Lillian, Lauren, Kayden, and Bentley, great-grandchildren: Sophia and Jaxon, siblings: his twin Ronnie Boroff, Randy (Terry) Boroff, Melvin (Darla) Boroff, and Wanda (Fred) Biss, sister-in-law: Jeane Boroff, and father-in-law: Richard Glick.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bother: Ralph Boroff, nephew: Wade Biss, and mother-in-law: Violet Glick.

His family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the funeral home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral from 12-1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Mathews Cemetery, Lima.
