Dora Jean (Farler) Roberts 78, of Lima passed away January 20th at her home surrounded by her family, after a short sudden battle with cancer.
She was born March 31, 1933 in Ivyton, Kentucky to William (Willy) and Versie Farler who preceded her in death.
On February 28, 1952 she married the love of her life Raleigh (Curly) Roberts, who also preceded her in death on August 18, 2000.
Dora Jean attended "Ole School" where she mastered in loving and caring for her family. She loved being, with her husband, going out together dancing, they were quite the couple on a dance floor. They also enjoyed singing and playing music together with family and friends.
After many years being a stay-at-home-Mom. She went to work and then retired from Norm Stewart and Sons Construction in 1992.
Dora leaves behind a loving son and daughter-in-law Doug and Deb Roberts of Lima, two loving daughters: Patty Nance of Lima and Peggy and Gill Salaz her favorite son-in-law of Lima. A wonderful stepson Joe and Eloise Roberts of Florida and a beautiful stepdaughter
Anita Patterson of Lima. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Three brothers Earl and Alice Farler, William Jr. and Betty Farler both of Lima and Jack Bowling of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by an infant son 'Danny Lee' and a very special grandson Chadwick Roberts, two brothers Walter and Orville Farler and four sisters, Edith Prater, Essie Legge, Ellerie Stettler and Josephine Camper all of Lima.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 12:00 Noon till 2:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00 P.M.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH
