Doris Elizabeth (Johnson) Malsam,
76, of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at 5:31 A.M. at The Meadows of Leipsic in Leipsic, Ohio.
Born Friday, July 10, 1936 in West Leipsic, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Serge Johnson and the late Dora (Henry) Johnson.
Doris married LaVerne J. Malsam on October 10, 1959, in Leipsic, Ohio. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2012.
She retired as a bookkeeper from Agri Supply in Ottawa. After retirement she worked for Sun TV and Elder Beerman. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, and embroidery. She spent most of her life caring for her daughter Nanette who preceded her in death.
Surviving are: two sons, Bryan T. (Kris) Malsam of Columbus Grove, OH and Troy D. (Mary) Malsam of Columbus Grove, OH; two grandsons, Taylor and Logan; three granddaughters, Lindsey, Hallie and Kirsten; a brother, Larry (Ruth Ann) Johnson of Leipsic, OH; a special cousin, Joyce (Morris Kay) Barnes of St. Pete Beach, FL; and her beloved pet, "Zoie".
A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Sugar Ridge Cemetery in Leipsic, Ohio with the Rev. William Cronk officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
