Dorothe C. Mosier, 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Lima Memorial Hospital. Dorothe was born on November 24, 1938, in Lima, Ohio, to Harry H. and Rebecca L. (Niemeyer) Hoeper.
Dorothe was a 1956 graduate of Lima Senior High School in Lima, Ohio. She retired from Tuttle Construction Company where she worked as a bookkeeper. She was a member of First Evangelical & Reformed Church, Lima, Ohio where she started a Prayer Shawl. She served on the Allen County Board of D.D., serving as the Vice President for one year. She was an OSU Buckeye fan, and loved to crochet, read, and do crossword puzzles. She especially loved her family.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Teresa) Mosier; grandchildren: Billie Stearns, Jocelyn (Ty Watts) Smith, and Matthew (Melyssa) Mosier; great-grandchildren: Kaylie Bingaman, Adyn Bingaman, Damien Stearns, Desiree Stearns, Jaleigh Smith, Avereigh Watts, Ayceton Watts, Mira Mosier, and Moses Mosier
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Lynda Smith and Pamela Hempker; grandson, Jamie Harnishfeger; an infant twin brother; and sister, Phyliss (Garth) Evans.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, December 16 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will then begin at 12 noon. Rev. Ed Rinehart will officiate. Graveside service and burial will be at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville, Ohio at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Evangelical & Reformed Church, Lima, Ohio.
