91, died at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Dorothea was born on January 15, 1922, in Beaverdam, Ohio, to the late Homer Marshall and Hattie (Plaugher) Marshall.
Dorothea married Robert Rhoades on May 9, 1943, who died on March 30, 2005. She retired from the Lima City School System where she taught remedial reading at Emerson Elementary. She was a graduate of Ohio Northern University. She was a member of the University Women, Friends of the Symphony, Lima Gardeners, and the Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Rhoades, of Lima, OH; three grandchildren, and three, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her daughter Janice Lee Hern,
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 02, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 02, 2013 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH.
