Dorothy Blosser, 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born on December 8, 1930, in Cairo, Ohio, to Carl and Edith (Donovan) Schindler. In 1950, she married Tom Blosser, who preceded her in death.
Dorothy attended Cairo Grade School and Columbus Grove High School. After graduation she worked in Cleveland for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. as a long-distance operator. She was an advocate for NAMI, a member of Friends of the Library, and Widows Support Group. She enjoyed gardening, watching the Hummingbirds, and more recently Bingo, reading, arts and crafts, and playing cornhole. She loved traveling all over the world. She dearly loved family gatherings and enjoying others company.
She is survived by her children: Jessica Mason, Clayton (Teresa) Blosser, Teenie (Lou Carter) Taylor, and Julie (Jim) Bottorff; grandchildren: Jenny (Jake), Tommy (Lisa), and Sophie; great grandchildren: Aleah (Lukis), Kyla (Carlos), Corinne, Benjamin, and Robert; great-great-granddaughter, Aurora; siblings: John Schindler, Ronnie (Karen) Schindler, and Janice Martz; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Nicki Sprague; sister, Mary (Paul) Patton; brother, Bob (Betty) Schindler; sister-in-law, Sharon Schindler; and brother-in-law, Wayne Martz.
Per Dorothy’s wishes there will be a private family service.
