Dorothy L. Fruchey,

90, passed away at 10:35 PM on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Lima Convalescent Nursing Home in Lima.

Dorothy was born on Friday, August 06, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harry and Odessa (Boose) Mertz. On September 7, 1946 she married Russell W. Fruchey Sr. who preceded her in death.

Dorothy was retired from Butterfield Insurance Company after working there many years. She was a member of Bluelick Bible Church.

She is survived by three sons, Russell (Linda) Fruchey, Jr. of San Jose', California, Richard (Sandy) Fruchey of Lima and Randy (Pam) Fruchey of Lima; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and long time friend, Margaret Shilling.

She is preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Graham, June Miller and Betty Mertz and three brothers, James, Roy and Harold Mertz.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A service of remembrance will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Brian Fruchey will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
