Dorothy Lauless

Dorothy C. Lauless 84, died at 1:45 a.m. November 4, 2007, at her residence. She was born September 8, 1923, in Urbana, Ohio to Raymond and Leah Fridley Jenkins, who preceded her in death. On June 24, 1945, she married Nelson H. Lauless, who died May 29, 1999. Mrs. Lauless retired in 1983, as a secretary from Lima schools, having worked at Central, West and North schools. She had also been a secretary at Triplett Corp., Bluffton, King Lumber Co., Ada, and Lima Distributors. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served on several committees, including the United Methodist Women, and had been a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Child Conservation League, where she had been state treasurer. She had been a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center. She had attended Ohio Northern University. Survivors include two daughters, Victoria ?Vickye? Lauless and Pamela ?Pam? Lauless, both of Lima, Ohio; a niece, Marie (Jim) Reier, of St. Marys, Ohio; two great-nephews, Michael (Kelly) Huber and Mark (Linne) Huber, both of St. Marys, Ohio; and five great-great-nephews and - nieces, Nathan Huber, Jacob Huber, Michaella Huber, Alexis Huber and Samuel Huber. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genevieve Huber and Evelyn Jenkins. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
